We are Making it Easier to Contact My Doll Cotttage

New FAQ's Document and Museum Enquiry Form Now Available

Introducing our new Frequently Asked Questions page

At My Doll Cottage Museum, we love hearing from people who share our interest in dolls, toys and the stories behind them.

We regularly receive enquiries from people wanting to donate dolls and toys, offer items or collections for sale, or ask questions about particular dolls, manufacturers and their history.

Many of these enquiries require a little research or further information before we can provide a helpful response. Quite often, this means exchanging several emails to gather the details we need.

To make things easier for everyone, we’ve created a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) download accessible from our page.

Why Have We Introduced an FAQ Page?

The majority of enquiries we receive fall into three main categories:

·      Donations: People wishing to donatedolls, toys or other items to the museum.

·      Selling: People offering individualitems or entire collections for the museum to consider purchasing.

·      General Enquiries: Questions aboutdolls, toys, manufacturers, historical information and the museum itself.

While every enquiry is different, there are certain details we regularly need before we can respond.

For example, when someone contacts us about a doll, knowing its approximate age, size, condition, manufacturer’s markings and any history of ownership can make a considerable difference. Clear photographs are also extremely helpful.

Without this information, we often need to request further details before we can begin looking into an enquiry.

Enquiry Form

In addition to the FAQ Page we have introduced an electronic form for all enquiries. Your are still welcome to email us on 0408 971498. However we do require further information in most cases.

Helping Us Respond to You Sooner

Our new FAQ page explains what information is helpful when contacting the museum and answers some of the questions we are most frequently asked.

We’ve also organised enquiries into three categories so visitors can find the information relevant to their needs.

Our aim is simple: to make the enquiry process easier, reduce unnecessary correspondence and help us respond to you as promptly as possible.

My Doll Cottage Museum is also continually working on researching, photographing, cataloguing and preserving its collection. By providing the relevant information when you first contact us, you’re helping us spend less time requesting additional details and more time assisting with your enquiry.

Staying in Touch with My Doll Cottage Museum

You may also have noticed that we’ve introduced a subscription option on our website.

This is separate from our general enquiry process and is intended for visitors who would like to keep up to date with what’s happening at My Doll Cottage Museum.

Our newsletters and website update notifications are planned to begin in the new year.

Through these updates, we hope to share new additions to the collection, interesting historical discoveries, research projects, publications and other news from the museum.

Subscribing is entirely optional, and you don’t need to subscribe to contact us or submit an enquiry.
